It’s a topic I’ve spent many hours discussing with my friends. Should we get Botox? At times, it seems like an economic decision. If you look younger, you’re more likely to stay employed so it’s worth the money you would spend on the shots. We may not approve of this kind of ageism, but it’s real and we have to live with it. But there’s a kind of moral decision as well. Is it right to fool Mother Nature?

My new hand will help me take care of my daughter, says transplant mother

A 26-year-old mother who lost her right hand in a traffic accident several years ago has reunited with her doctors to show off her new donated hand.

Emily Fennell from Yuba City, California received the donor limb in a marathon operation after her hand was damaged in a car crash.

‘It has been surreal to see that I have a hand again, and to be able to wiggle my fingers, Ms Fennell said.

Blood drive set Monday in memory of baby with rare heart condition

Emma Routh died at 3 months from hypoplastic left heart syndrome. She received blood transfusions during an open heart surgery. She would have been 3 on April 15. The blood drive will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the party room at Bounce-U, 8922 S. Memorial Drive. Children of donors will be allowed free play time at the facility, and adult donors will receive a 10 percent discount on any party booked there within a year. Ryan Reynolds using Facebook to fight Parkinson’s Disease

Ryan Reynolds is asking his fans to ‘like’ the The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research Facebook page. If the Foundation reaches 100,000 Facebook fans during April, Parkinson’s Awareness Month campaign in the United States, Reynolds will add an additional $10,000 to his cumulative giving to the Foundation. Reynolds is on the Board of Directors with the Foundation. His Facebook challenge to bring awareness to the disease isn’t his first time.
